Ibsenfestival: Little Europa

 National Theatre

每年8月底到9月初是易卜生藝術節,奧斯陸的國家劇院會密集將這位挪威劇作家的作品搬上舞台,這次挑選觀賞的是"Little Europa"。

[Theatre]
What's great about theatre is never about its size and stage, but the show itself.
Movies share the similar plots, and you can only see through the director’s eyes. But with plays, you can choose your own angle to view, and as each play is presented on the moment, it's different slightly. That’s the charm of theatre.
It is surprising to know how short but tense, even shocking can a play be. It's in front of you, so close to smell and breathe. The acts were for real: the smoke from lightened cigarette, the teardrops of candles, the fighting, the kissing and the struggling.

“Whose fault was it, the father or the mother?” Oh, but was it really a “fault”?
“The creature belongs to the world” Monsters (Europa, Frankenstein, dinosaurs) were not accepted by the society (parents, human), but who gets to decide which to stay and which to be cured?
“The timeline backwarded, from the contemporary to the ancient Rome and then dinosaurs’ era, by eliminating what's ahead.” So the original wild is actually on the top? But what is the point proofing so with force?
